Hi, it’s Brett here.

I wanted to take a minute and introduce myself, and answer a couple of questions you’re probably asking:

“Who is Brett, and why should I listen to him?”

After more than 10 years in corporate sales, I was recruited for a district director position at one of the largest real estate brokerages in the country.  Talk about trial by fire!  It was a non-stop barrage of marketing, leads, clients, coaching, closings, and just about everything you can think of relating to real estate.  But ultimately all of my agents had one common concern… getting leads.

You see, when you get your license, they teach you how to pass a test.  That’s all.  They don’t show you how to generate leads, work with clients, and run a business.  This becomes glaringly obvious after a few weeks in the business for new agents, as they find themselves wondering “What do I do next?”  Heck, it happens to experienced agents too, when they wake up one morning to find that the things that used to work, no longer do, because the market just keeps changing.

Anyway, I took this to heart when I started my own brokerage.  I hired coaches, read every book I could get my hands on, and tested hundreds of marketing products, services, and systems.  Throughout this process I learned an incredible amount, and got hundreds of viewpoints, but one basic problem persisted.  It was expensive!  Sure, I was making money.  But I still found it growing increasingly difficult to write those checks every month for all those marketing services.  I also remembered from my conversations with other agents that most of them couldn’t even afford to do it in the first place.  (Why do you think the turnover in the industry is so high?)  Agents would come into the business with ‘pie in the sky’ dreams of making thousands of dollars, driving fancy cars, living in nice houses, and taking extended vacations – only to find out that it costs a lot of money to get started in real estate.

Well, until now.

Based on my own experiences, and those of agents I’d worked with or trained, I decided to put together a real estate business growth system that costs very little to run, and that anyone can manage.  I took what I learned from my coaches, from the books I read, from my own experiences, and a lot of trial and error, and put together Clients on a Dime.  I’ve been coaching and training agents for years, and now a chunk of that knowledge is available in a downloadable course.

I’m not a know-it-all.  I’m still learning every day.  Nor am I perfect.  I’ve made a lot of miscalculations, but those were some of my best learning experiences.  However, I do have a lot of experience in the real estate business, and a knack for teaching it to other people.  By the last data I reviewed, I ranked in the top 1% of agents in my state.  According to NAR (National Association of Realtors) data, while using my own system I averaged 5 times the national average for closings per year.  (Source: 2011 National Association of REALTORS® Member Profile)
